I looooove to do roasts in the crock pot so I have a lot of different variations on the same method. This one is sooooo sooooo good. It's probably one of my families favorites. It's got a little kick because of the green chilis and the bacon gives it a smoky flavor. So Yummy!!!
(I had helpers in the kitchen on this day, so I missed a lot of pictures, oops.)
Whatcha Need...
Bacon, 4 slices crumbled
Beef Roast
Handful of baby carrots (Not pictured)
1 can green chilis
1/4 cup water (Not Pictured)
1/4 cup chili sauce
1 tbsp flour. (Not Pictured)
Whatcha do with it...
Place Roast in crock pot and season with...McCormick Hamburger Seasoning, Salt, and Pepper.
In a small bowl mix the can of chilis, water, chili sauce, and flour. Poor mixture over roast. Top with the cooked bacon and some carrots.
Cook for 8-10 hours on low
Viola, ya got dinner. PS. This makes an AWESOME gravy to put on top. So flavorful.
We served with a quick bag salad and some apple slices.
